When you stop to make lists of your available options as a writer, the task before you can be overwhelming.

We have this tendency to want to be everywhere, because that’s what all the gurus tell us. But, as a writer, your core skill — writing — can be a huge time-suck if you aren’t careful where you aim the laser.

There’s a simple framework that hums in the background, no matter the economy. No matter who’s president (or the head cheese wherever you live). This framework is older than any of your favorite platforms (unless you still love printed newspapers).

Content + email.
