Email Gurus Lying to Small Creators (How to Actually Send Emails the Sell)
Simple email-writing recipe inside…
There’s this common ‘wisdom’ amongst many email gurus: You’ve got to send ‘goodwill’ content often. You can’t just email your list an offer every day.
Here’s the problem with this logic…
The numbers. Say you’ve got 100 people on your email list. You have a 25% open rate. That means only 25 people read your email and 75 did not.
If you send a weekly email and you only send one promotion a month, only 25 people will ever see this paid offer (the reason you are in business) and if you’re lucky you’ll sell one copy.
Now, instead of sending emails without an offer, send some kind of offer every time. Here, in our weekly example, you get 25 people to see your offer, four times a month. That’s four sales a month, instead of one.
But no one wants a stright-up pitchfest in their inbox every week. You won’t keep people on your list very long doing that. So, what’s the alternative? How do you make an offer in every email without burning out your list?
BSEC. That’s how.
This is my simple recipe for writing even daily emails to your list, and you can include an offer in each one. No more…
