As a solo creator there’s this daily fight — you’ve got to batter your ‘inner brat’ when things get hard. You’re in a fight with all the shiny objects that look better than the tough project you have before you. And there’s the quitting — should you stop chasing a dud, or must you suffer through the ‘dip?’

So many inner battles…

But there is hope. You can make better choices — decisions that will not only help your solo business, but also help your well-being.

I’m a die-hard introvert. I struggle to connect with people in person, so I avoid it. This means I avoid live calls and live sales meetings. I don’t like live coaching. I don’t even like being on someone else’s live coaching call.

Yet, if I were to follow the shiny object all the gurus recommend, I’d set up a business with a bunch of live workshops, which would force me to operate outside my element (and although I could do it), I’d hate every minute of it.

So… step one is to start at the end.

If you’re looking for a next direction in life, it’s important to start with how you want your typical work day to look. I prefer to rip a quick email, do a little customer…
